Approximately 80% of Baby Boomers will depend on the Internet for health information. Almost 80% if having a health issue or knowing what type of health issue they have will rely on information on the Internet and learn enough knowledge to discuss their concerns with their family physician or their surgeon. Over 80% of Baby Boomers will check out a medication prescribed to them by their doctors before having the prescription filled. However, it is highly important that anyone who relies on health information on the Internet go to the legitimate sites to get the proper advice. Baby Boomers tend to feel more involved and in control of their health issues by researching on the Internet although many doctors often complain the Internet is a blight rather than helpful. The truth of the matter is that now Baby Boomers or any age group can get good information and ask many more questions of their family physician and question any action the doctor may suggest or any medications being prescribed.
