Baby Boomers born between 1946- 1964.  They were lucky in the sense they grew up with many economic breaks which led to prosperity and enabled them to have more chances at employment, additional education, buying a home and capable of budgeting their money on top of all this if they so chose to.  They also have emerged into the technology of the Internet and other technologies.  Baby Boomers who were smart did invest their money and saved for their retirement and some have the luxury like no other generation before them to enjoy retirement.  The problem comes with the Baby Boomers who are not ready to retire or who retire and are not financially capable of it and they will often go back to work putting the X Generation in a flurry of doubts about their employment options.  Baby Boomers are a little more set in their ways than Generation X or Y, but some have embraced the new ways of looking at life.

Generation X born in the mid 1960's to early 1980's and many became experienced in global political events such as Vietnam, cold war and the fall of the Berlin Wall.  They were the generation that had a voice in the wants and needs politically and in other areas of their lives.  They are more free-minded when it comes to accepting diversity and making changes as to how religion, race, sexual orientation and class are directed.

Generation Y born in the 1980's to 2000 or, the Millennial Generation.  They were born into technology and embraced it with a thirst.  They were often reviewed as 'the latch key kids' as both parents work and some in high positions.  This has taught Generation Y to balance their lifestyle rather than work long hours and little time off for quality of life.  While Generation Y feels they have all the answers and are more connected and understand themselves far better the downside of this generation is the fact they are so involved with iPhones, laptops, texting, tablets they have forgotten 'the human touch.'  They often find themselves wondering how to actually connect or communicate with their peers.  They may exceed highly in technology, but seem to shrink in connecting with others on more face-to-face terms.  However, that being said a few manage to balance the two which makes them highly successful in most things they put their mind to.

Generation Z born after 2000 is yet a mystery as to how this generation will  turn out in a high technology driven lifestyle, but, it is still highly possible and there are some signs that Generation Z may well become a little of some good old traits of the Baby Boomer and the Y generation.  Time will tell.
