Advice on boomer bashing

The latest craze is 'Boomer Bashing' by Generation X and Y.  It's contemptible, it's a form of racism and an all time low.  Thankfully, there is a lower percentage of X & Y malcontents to 'just blame someone' for their problems.  Boomers are blamed for past governments they voted in, not looking after the environment, being greedy simply because employment was higher and there was more opportunity to rise in a corporation and better education down to the boil on some X's and Y's butts.  The hate blogs echo 'I hope the Boomers die' to 'Just die NOW!'  These come from the ignorant in the X and Y's, spoiled, lazy, a 'me' mind-thought and thinking they should start at the top of a company and not work their butts off like Boomers did and they certainly haven't done their homework on past history.

Boomers voted often between three or more candidates running and ended up either being led down the garden path from all the promises or voting for the lesser of several evils.  They did not create the lies candidates told to get the votes. All generations should look towards the black cloud of their government where there is corruption and deception.  It's happening now so take off your rose colored glasses!  There doesn't seem to be any fight in the X and Y Generation to turn the spot light on their own governments and fight for their own rights ... just blame the Boomers because it easier!

Boomers had to pay to get into University and had debts and true, it wasn't as expensive as the X & Y's education, but again look at government (in Canada) for bringing in more Immigrants (Asians ... no racial intent meant) who could well afford to go to University and there are far more Asians attending University than Caucasians. Near the end of the 1990's up to now you can blame companies in the U.S./Canada for out-sourcing their jobs or bringing in Immigrants willing to be paid less.  That's where the blame should be put on and not the Boomers. It is also true that many Boomers worked hard, were loyal to their employers and paid into Health Care and their retirement funds and therefore deserve to collect it when they retire.  No one handed them this money on a silver platter and again the government is to blame and Canada is telling Boomers they have to work until at they are 67 because they can't cover the pensions all of them put into benefits.  So, where's the money?

Generation X & Y (there are still some intelligent ones out there) should be happy the Boomers are here because they don't just sit back and 'take it!'  They are willing to fight for their rights.  If the three generations cooperate together much can be accomplished and changed for the better.  Most Boomers would love to retire and let the young take over.

It is a myth that most Boomers feel they are better than Generations X & Y and that malicious gossip.  Most want the younger generations to succeed and make better changes for the future.

Another misconception is the fact that Generations X & Y feel Boomers are responsible for everything, but the truth of it all if X & Y grew up in the Boomer's era they would have done the same thing as it was the way of life back then and X & Y are going to make many mistakes in the reign of their generation.  It's time to join together and not 'Boomer Bash!'
